I was about to say. Either it isn't happening until 2022 or EA Sports somehow kept this as a huge secret if it was coming out this summer

Not sure when it will be coming out but it isn't out of the realm of possibility that it be released in 2021. They could have easily had it in development for the last 2 years with it being kept hush hush. Nothing illegal about using the college stuff if they were never going to be able to release it. Now that they have the go ahead the could potentially add the last few tweaks and roll.
Id think the hardest thing to do is get the stadium updates
