Must be Collector's Edition bonus because regular preorder is just the Rip and Tear Pack (DOOM 64, Doot Revenant skin, bonus campaign master level, and throwback shotgun skin).

Yep, I don't play many games anymore. Really only the big titles.

I have a crazy about of hobbies. Woodworking, SBC projects, cycling ..
All super intense with each of one.
Gaming is jus not that interesting anymore. I still love it, but I rather read and talk about it than actually play sometimes.
I'm more interested in the tech.

I can't stop watching and listening about DOOM Eternal. I literally went to sleep this morning listening to DOOM lore videos.

I literally know nothing about DOOM lore for the most part aside from the very very basic. So I am glad Eternal appears to go deeper into it.

Absolutely, The Doom Series has always been very light on story, focusing entirely on gameplay, which is a good thing IMO.
Doom embraces being a video game first and foremost, not a vehicle for narrative or characters. Like in some early Doom Eternal footage I saw there were floating 1-Up pickups or something and they mentioned them, that Doom embraces being a video game.
Doom 2016 was a near perfect example in terms of an seamlessly integrating a story IMO. It proves you you can create a very compelling world and story without bringing the game to a screeching halt to do it.
Any story elements they want to add are fine, as long as they continue in the Doom16 model of making them near seemless to the gameplay.
What people don't want is long arse cutscenes or characters going on expositions about stuff.

This team at iD seem to be synced and focused, even more so than during DOOM 2016.
Their message is very clear in every interview.
I have never put so much faith in any other dev team that they will get it right before except maybe Valve and now CD Project Red.
