Says the guy that put 200 hours in to a Zelda game in a month, but yeah you don't enjoy gaming.

Almost 1.5yrs now.
It also is very rare I put anytime into a title these last 2yrs. When I do it is a game which is deep with lore. The W3 2015, FO4 2015, FC5 2018 (immersive envoriment), BotW 2017. I cant really spend more than 5mins with a game unless something else. Like the only games I played and put real time into and enjoyed it. Horizo 2017 lore was great but it felt "shallow" and didn't grab me. Mario Odyssey 2017 is a great game but was finished in one night with no real Joy.

Just turned 26 and I used to game hard but the first person shooter genre has gotten stale to me and no NCAA football has made it hard. I can’t invest in the shitshow that is madden and I was never a 2K guy. I enjoy the hell out of Fortnite but if I didn’t have some baws to play with I probably wouldn’t.
I still enjoy third person games like the Arkham series, Uncharted and recently played God of War and loved it. Those are kind of in my bag now. I also enjoy games like Mafia or LA Noire. Wish more 1920-40’s gangster, noir based games were made. But those are the types of games I enjoy. Don’t just randomly pick up games and play them through like I used to. Real selective though I’m not sure why

I’m a big fan of the competitive nature of gaming. It really drives me and it’s a lot of fun with online multiplayer. I’m less interested in campaign modes lately

Will be 50 this year, and I love gaming, but there just haven't been many games over the last year that are in my wheel house. I do a lot more traveling now for fun.

I feel like I stopped enjoying gaming ever since I graduated from highschool several years ago. I specifically dont enjoy multiplayer experiences at all anymore. Every now and then a game will come out that I can get into though to list a few:
BOTW
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5
Stardew Valley
Skyrim
The Witcher
Replayed all the Sly Coopers a couple of times
Sly Cooper 4

I still game. 32 currently. However my tastes have changed to more history and strategy focused. Although, Smite on Xbox is pretty fun.
I go in spurts though now. There can be weeks of nothing and then weeks I go ham.
My job can be intense and I have a wife and 3 daughters. Some times I need to close the door and "de-stress" and gaming is one of the ways I can do that.

I'm 45 and have been playing games longer than most of you have been alive. I will die with a controller in my hand. That's actually kinda sad but I don't care.
FIFY and for me it is not sad. My wife is 39 and games too.

I was huge on RPGs from middle school through high school. Had a final fantasy obsession. Then in high school I got into halo with some friends but halo is about the only game I care to play online. Once college hit I pretty much quit gaming besides the occasional madden against a friend.
28 now and a few years ago I was getting bad with drinking. It was all I was doing on my off days so I purchased an xbone to have something else to do. First game I bought with it was Witcher 3 and bam...it reminding me how much I love a good rpg. That was all I did summer of 2016, work and play Witcher 3.
Now I’ll play a little halo here and there with a couple friends but mainly I pick out a good rpg after reading reviews and take it slow, playing it over the course of 4-5 months which is what I’m currently doing with divinity: original sin right now. After I finish a long rpg I have to take a break. I’ll probably end up taking a break until red dead 2 comes out
The thing with me and RPGs though, is I only like to start playing if I have a lot of free time to burn at once. Like I’m talking 3-4 hours. I don’t like booting it up just for an hour because I’m probably not gonna get anything done in the game in that time. I guess I’m a binge player. With halo though I get sick of it after about 10 matches

I absolutely love gaming more now than i did when i was a kid. Im 30 now.
I just finished up a replay of the Gothic series and about to start a Tales Series replay.
So many games I have to finish beating its overwhelming sometimes. But I just hit top 10 on 2 characters in Diablo 2 USEAST ladder hc. Hit top5 hc ladder in d3 4 mans. And was pushing gm in Overwatch. Trying to get my old crew back together for Battle for Azeroth. Just so much always going on. Plus ready for monster hunter when it comes to pc
If youre bored of videogames then you play too many new games which do not have any substance.

Also 32. I just haven't found a game lately that I particularly enjoy and want to pour tons of hours into. I need to find something though.
I believe I've become jaded by the amount of half assed "early access" bullshite that has become the norm in the last few years and it's hard to get motivated to play games that have glaring flaws.

Anyone here post 30 and find that your engagement with the media is different? Like I said, enjoyment comes from Wikis about games than actually playing.
I turned 33 a couple months ago. I'm an ultra competitive person and I've always had one hobby at a time that completely consumes me. Gaming fills both of those for me at this time. In my teens it was baseball. My early to mid 20s was poker and now it's gaming.

I don't play near th hours I used to, I attribute that to the lack of single player only games. I can only play online so long before I get bored.
same, i refuse to fork out $60 for a 12 hour single player campaign.

To me it sounds like you burn yourself out on games. I wouldn’t enjoy gaming if every time I picked one up it had to be a grindfest. You need to learn to game in moderation, then maybe you would enjoy it more.
