I'm enjoying it so far. There are things to work for like armor ornaments, light grind, weapon mods, new weapons, new story, new shaders, and other stuff I haven't gotten to.
I mean basically, if you are entertained for a month on it or even a few weeks, is it not worth $20? You can almost pay that for a movie that lasts 2 hours.

I mean it won't be the end. If D1 showed us anything, its that they can completely fix a broken game.
Most of what I've seen is this DLC just doesn't have a ton of content, is eververse heavy, and just seems more like it should be a free DLC.
As I said though, I got the season pass, so I'll play it and get enjoyment out of it. The gameplay everyone says is good and story is good. Just not a lot of it.

Yea I get that. It's not the money, just don't know if I want to devote hours and hours to something that isn't excellent but just ok. I probably will though. Gonna try destiny companion app for the raid this weekend(still haven't done it)

The Story is short, probably only 3 hours or so. The new weapons are decent, pretty sure Positive Outlook will be the new Uriel's gift.
Like Hu-Flung-Pu said, the extra items are something to work towards. The Armor Ornaments all look great, and I've already eyed a few I will grind for. The Raid Lair will drop on Friday, and will add some more content.
I know Bungie has a bunch of Public Events planned the next couple of months to keep us engaged. For $20 bucks its worth it.

this is exactly the type of thinking that greedy developers and publishers are banking by releasing half-baked, lazy content like this.

Fair point, but at least it still gets them to play the game longer over time than most AAA titles. How many times have you bought a game for $60 bucks, played through it and beat it, and then never pick it up again? It happens to me all the time.
At least it isn't like Madden or NBA where you spend $60 bucks every year for the same exact thing with updated rosters.

not often, because I can usually gauge whether something is worth $60. Only time I got gypped this year was with POS Wolfenstein 2. Trash game

been playing a lot of Overwatch lately. the amount of free, high-quality content they put out is staggering. they do it right. Have loot boxes contain purely cosmetic items that people can buy if they want. they use that money to create new maps and characters for everyone, everyone is happy.
Metro Redux is you want a good FPS campaign. Titanfall 2 was also excellent, 1000x better than the 1st.

At least the rewards from the end of matches are a hell of a lot better. Played 5 matches for my engram. Had epics for all of them, twice had 2 epics drop.

Bungie has destroyed this game. The fact that this is considered DLC is a joke. This is an update marketed and sold as DLC to make a quick buck.
I can comfortably say Im done once again with this game and will not pre-order Destiny 3 when it’s announced. This is just robbery at this point.

It’s really obvious CoO could have been shipped in vanilla and actually should have been.

As a result, one of the top threads on the Destiny subreddit is people getting the base game refunded: LINK. (Sorry if this was already mentioned here)
Apparently Microsoft is handing out refunds left and right, but Sony is holding back.
