Not even sure why I preloaded. It can take just as long to unpack ... and my internet is fine. We shall see. I may just delete and download on launch.

Part of me wants to get this day one and part of me wants to wait 6 months for patches. I played Witcher 3 day one and was somewhat of a mess, a few months later after multiple patches they fixed a ton of issues.

I actually deleted my preload on Steam... I heard unpacking can take just as long as the download itself. No biggie I just won't be playing Wednesday night.

Unpacking is dependent on the speed of your hard drive. If you have an SSD, shouldn't take very long. Restart steam if it says over like 20 minutes and it will fix it.

I will be playing on SSD but I'm not in a rush to really play on Wednesday - not sure why I even preloaded tbh. With the day 1 patch I probably wouldn't even be playing until closer to 8 PM EST and I usually hit the bed around 9-9:30 to relax before sleeping by 11 generally. This isn't the kind of game I want to start with an hour or so to go before I like to get in the bed. Damn I sound old.

Yeah, I plan on jumping in at 6pm until probably midnight or so we'll see how it goes with bugs and stuff.

Depending on the extensiveness of the character creation (which sadly I hear isn't actually very much??), I might even be spending just an hour on that aspect.

I was already planning on waiting for the next-gen upgrade to come out, so seeing there's quite a number of bugs gives me more reason to wait around until they fix those while getting that version out.
There's no way I could get through two playthroughs with all the side quests and stuff they mention in the reviews
