I tried this and refunded it, the mechanics just didn't work for me. Why do I have to select my target every round of combat when there is only one target there. The cut scenes are way to long and slow.

I get that so many like it just not my cup of tea.

You have to select your target because you or your mates can also be the target, depending on what you’re doing. If you aren’t enjoying the cutscenes, then it was probably a good idea to refund. Not every game is for everyone

Nah, I think that was back during TGA when Expedition 33 was sweeping awards.

I'm halfway through Act 1, so I hope to get to new stuff really soon. I do need to figure out how I'm going to build my characters. Right now, I'm just brute forcing my way through.

Not an appropriate response.

We need to crush that poster and insult him thoroughly.

How dare he dislike something I like!

Finished Act 1. Was able to hit damage cap on the last boss, so I'm happy with my builds so far

Finished Act 2. Think I'll work on some side content before finishing the story.

ETA: ...and done. Went straight to Act 3. Really good game. Looking forward to exploring now.

Not sure why but I was really burned out on the jrpg style game when this came out. Picked it up last weekend and I haven't slept. Only slight exaggeration.

Tremendous game. I'm terrible at timing but on normal mode I don't feel like the parry system is cheating me. Even the worst optional boss to my point in the game felt doable if I didn't mess up. I did have to get good on one or two of them. The thing that kills me is my brain learns the timing and then..... a whole new timing to learn. That 7 combo boss could eat a bag of dicks. Oh and that 24 parry bugger. Not really that hard but definitely an endurance test.

Love the game. Will preorder their next game.

Simon is where you really need to get your pictos and luminas in order to take him out fast. If you let him get to his 3rd attack sequence you're basically fricked.

I remember the 1st time I faced him. I whipped his arse and felt like a stud until he got up and beat the shite out of me.

It’s cheesable with certain weapons and picto/lumina setups.

He also has a neat disappearing trick. Bruh...

ETA: Got him. I just have the DLC area left, but I'm not sure if I want to go through it. It think I'm done.

I didn't hit Simon on my first play. NG+ Simon was too much for me. They super nerfed the game from the release because I saw multiple people playing on release easily nuke Simon in round 1. Even buffed with everything I wasn't doing much to him in round 1. Brought back final Valkyrie nightmares from God of War. Even dropping to story he was a beast.

I think I did almost everything except Verso's Draft. After 2 long plays I was finally a bit bored so I didn't do that spot.
