She is much more than that. At least in the games.
She has the Elder Blood. If they change her race then they would need to change the Emperor / Mother. The whole point of the Witcher 3 is that her blood / lineage make her unique.
I have no clue if the lineage is the same in the books.
Per the games, changing her requires changing her parentage.
She is actually the one character you can't change or mess with. Her lineage does define her character and it will be like kicking a hornets nest to a lot of folks.
You would have to have no knowledge of the game to think this change could be made willy-nilly.

They will make her the only black person on the show....thereby showing that the african american lineage is rare

Yep. She is one that it is kind of important to keep her as is for continuity sake. You change the race of Dandelion, while being unnecessary, it doesn't change a whole lot outside of the character looking different. Ciri, it changes a lot of dynamics outside of her just appearing different.

I can already tell you that they're not going to give a shite about a lot of the lore. They have to condense these so much that you end having having a shell of source material.
Harry Potter, pt. 1 of the Deathly Hallows movie, they show this mirror that Harry swears he sees Dumbledore's eye in. It's a shard of a mirror. Where did it come from?
Completely cut out of the Order of the Phoenix movie was the story of Sirrius giving Harry a two way mirror to be able to communicate if Snape was giving him too much shite during their private lessons. The tragic part of it is if Harry would have remembered that Sirrius had the other mirror, he could have checked and seen that Sirrius had never left his house and WASN'T at the Ministry of magic, hence Harry and the crew wouldn't have gone to his rescue and ended up in danger, Sirrius wouldn't have to come to help and wouldn't have been killed.
So they needed that particular plot point to give Harry a way to escape the Malfoy house, but I always wondered what the non book readers thought of this little magic device. As a big fan of the books, this bugged me to no end, but maybe everyone else didn't give a crap and just accepted that Harry would simply have something like this.
Backstory is the big victim in these, plain and simple. Even if they had kept her white, you wouldn't have had the same character.

12 is disjointed and messy, but I can still enjoy it.
I loved 11, and still do, but when compared to 13, IMO, just not as fun to watch.

I thought Pacino was a great addition and perfect villain, there were a few Godfather references sprinkled in, and the running jokes of Rusty and his mishaps as a husband were pretty good.

I'll have to watch it again. I never thought 13 was bad, just didn't think it was the best. It was EASILY better than 12 though. 12 just felt weird from start to finish.

I enjoy all three Ocean’s films, but like 11 and 13 the most. 12 is a fine installment, just prefer the other two more.
Like someone else said, I could care less if they make Dandelion black, hell, if they could get Idris Elba or someone like him I wouldn’t even care if they casted Vesemir as a black dude.
Ciri and Geralt are the two untouchable ones here.

I think it was the perfect culmination of the chemistry of that entire cast. Plus, they purposely didn't include the wives in the movie because they wanted it to be just about the crew.
It was them having fun and I thought it was perfect.
For 12, I'll say that I absolutely loved the idea of Linus trying to fit into his big boy pants, and Danny and Rusty constantly playing with his head. His thumps up to Rusty on the plane is probably my favorite part

They are doing this on purpose. There is a concerted effort to diminish white people and ultimately destroy white, western societies. The Ciri thing is but a drop in the ocean of what's going on.
