if folks would understand that every one of these companies hire 23 year old girls to run their social media platforms, you would understand why these companies are posting the shite they post.

Some companies just should not get involved with politics.

All they have to do is let their employees know that they stand behind them but its policy not to comment on political matters that don't involve their industry.

Hell gaming companies are the ones to profit off of all this. More kids, more players.

this. If public tweets are how they "let their employees know where they stand", then they really need to hire a better IT person that knows how to set up company emails.

Good lord, just keep updating Destiny and shut up

I thought video games were the last bastion of apolitical entertainment. That's coming to an end apparently

Even Rockstar games are pozzed now with politically correct crap. Gamergate made the entire video game industry do a hard left in how they operate from a political standpoint.

If you thought that then you haven't been paying attention over the last few years.

well, the only way we know about this is by looking at their twitter account, and typically those are opinion based. you dont want to see that? get off twitter, easy fix.

now if you boot up destiny and a message pops up and says "we support pro-life choices and you should too", then thats another story.

Best part is this meltdown isn't over banning abortion, it's over giving the authority back over to the states to make their own calls on it, but I guess that's not enough for the fascists on Twitter.

I just don’t understand how anyone thinks they’re upholding respectable “values” by advocating for the right to kill kids. It’s a disease.

Don't these video game companies operate on very tight margins? Not sure it's a smart idea to start alienating people because state's now get to decide if you can murder babies in utero.

The fact that this was the official response from the Bungie twitter account when the guy as actually making a decent point "it's not a business matter, or video game matter" speaks volumes and sums of the entire problem with 2022.

(Guy with toaster avatar):"you're a video game company"

Bungie: "you're a toaster"

One of these is making a point and the other is using deflection because they actually don't stand for shite and this is the new "I support the current cause" meme

You're not putting yourself into their shoes though. They think it should be guaranteed that a woman can get an abortion because they feel its her decision about her body. If you thought bodily autonomy were at stake, having it guaranteed at the federal level is the only way to ensure it stays that way. Their logic from their perspective makes perfect sense even if I personally disagree with it.
