BREAKING: EA Sports to bring back college basketball games by 2028

I’m in but EA hasn’t done an NBA game in 6-7 years? I think Live 19 was it.

Maybe it’s just me but don’t see these selling great after the first one, just don’t know if there’s a big enough base willing to pay $80 a year for NCAA basketball.

I enjoyed the early NBA Live games but there’s a reason they stopped making them because the gameplay was pretty arse. Either way, I’m excited to play a CBB game again… 2028 though lol

Live 19 was pretty decent. The problem is that 2K is just so far ahead in terms of fan support.
This is a good strategy I think for EA since the market for college basketball is wide open. I wish Visual Concepts would have done this with NCCA when EA bought the rights to the NFL.

That's not too surprising. They'll basically be starting with a completely blank slate since they don't have an NBA equivalent to utilize for assets. If they are going to focus on the environment (traditions, arenas, etc) then they'll have close to 350 schools to work on. When CFB was announced it took about 3-4 years it seems, so this isn't a staggering timeline.

Umm college football was great! I was ecstatic when it came back.
Just like i will be when college basketball comes back out. Sports games won’t get any better if they dont bring more of them back. Before CFB 25 the sports options were very stale and limited. Pretty much only Madden, NBA 2K and MLB The Show. Now if they would add College baseball and bring back boxing like fight night or knockout kings then we’d be rolling in the sports games again.

Can't stand 2K. It's a 40 button combo with 17 stick moves to do a simple layup.

Um you don't have to use the stick. All you have to do is press the square button to do a normal layup.
