So each play through is progressively harder? Even if you use a different character? I haven't finished the first one and gone through it a second time so don't know if it was the same in it.

I have a level 19, 13, 12, and 7 all on PC and a level 5 on xbox. Haven't played Xbox much yet but I am constantly waiting on people on PC. About to finish it myself I think. I have 33 hours played and have yet to beat it but I do have one of each character. I plan on playing through with each one.

So last night I summoned terramorphous solo just to see what would happen. Anyone else give it a shot. JESUS. I was absolutely, no hyperbole, dealing less than 5 damage per bullet. Dear God.

I'm level 49 and pretty close to summoning him on True Vault Hunter mode.

After you beat it the first time you can play through on what is called "true vault hunter mode" (was called "Playthrough 2" in the first game). You basically start at the beginning all over again, but instead of being level 1 you are level 30ish (depends on what level you were when you beat it the first time) and the enemies also start out in the lower 30s.
You can still go back and select playthrough 1 on your main character and finish old side missions if you want to be a completionist.

It is a character by character deal. If you want to get to playthrough 2 on a different character you have to beat the game once on that character.

I'm a level 46 now, and still can't touch that big arse creature. You guys were talking about getting a second golden key earlier. Do I have to use my personal e-mail to sign up? Or use my xbox live e-mail assigned to my gamertag?
