If you sign up for Gearbox Shift, they give you an extra key. Not sure if that's only PC or if it works for console as well.
I'm going to, but I have 2 keys, so I want to pick up a mid range and upper level item.

All of the weapons I had during the first play through we're awesome.
Now they are crap on the 2nd

I honestly don't know what it is. I saw the option to sign up in game and did. When I verified my email, it took me to a page where I could update my bio, but that was it. Honestly have no clue what it's for.

Same here. I didn't get a code when I did it. I just went to the email and clicked verify. Went back to the xbox in the options or where ever the Shift option was and clicked on it without entering a code and when I started the game back up it told me I received a golden key.

Yup. I got raped hard trying to kill Flynt in playthrough 2. Eventually I got all of the other bandits down and just sat in a corner and slowly whittled him down and used the occasional Psychos he summoned to get second winds and such. I died a good 4-5 times though.
