Never played these. I didn't notice them until 3 came out and some of my co-workers were talking about them but I never really got around to going back to them, so this will easily be an insta-purchase for me

Awesome. I've yet to play ME2 and probably should.

So excited about playing the next Mass Effect some time in 2025.

ME2 and ME3 (except the end) are two of the best games I’ve ever played. Solid combat with one of the top stories in video games. ME2 is the best sci-fi story I’ve ever played.

I would say that ME3 invalidates much of ME2. You could almost go directly from ME1 to ME3 without playing 2 and not miss much.

That said, ME2 has some of the best characters and character subplots in the series.

Mass Effect 2 really should’ve been called Mass Effect: Gaiden or something of the sort.

The only thing Mass Effect 2 was even made for was to bring back Shepard from the dead, which essentially makes it a side story. Mass Effect 3 shouldn’t have been released for at least another 3-4 years after it originally was. Game was insanely rushed.

After the free DLC they gave out to change the ending, even the ending is at least acceptable now. It's still not great, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was on release.

Its really is a great game. Its one of the few RPGs I've played that by the end it really felt like my story and my decisions had consequences. And in the end...the only one in my team that perished...I had treated unfairly...and I actually felt awful about it.

Cool. I've been meaning to play these at some point. Now I can play them, but better.

Mass Effect is probably my all time favorite series. I literally can't come up with a price that isn't comical that I wouldn't be willing to pay for this. Hell of an N7 day.

Amazing example of the power of fandom

It was so overwhelming that it was almost a certainty they were going to change the ending

Anyone else like me? Pretending that ME: Andromeda never existed?

I tried to like ME:A, I really did but it just didn't have the hook, hell I still haven't finished it, and probably wont.

I like Andromeda enough. The story was a let down, but the premise is good enough to warrant a second try.

It was no small thing, either. I remember the patch being over a gig in size.

Good times here on the GB waiting on the 3rd Game and even playing the multiplayer afterwards waiting on the “extended cut”. The ending is just so bad. The story from 1-3 up until then is still some of the best sci-fi ever.

The ending, even the original one, wasn't that bad. People hated it because it didn't reflect the choices they made through the course of the game. Had one of the possible endings been used in a book or a movie, it would have been fine, though underwhelming because of how little detail it gave. Now, it's obviously fair to go after them for funneling you into an ending in spite of all of your previous choices, but that's a different critique.
