I’ve googled a lot of bass building games but I don’t think I’ve found what I’m looking for. Looking for a base building game where you build a castle, city, or area and defend it. I loved Fallout 4 because I built all the bases more than I played the game but the attacks werent consistent. But I loved the idea and that would be the perfect build/defend if attacks were better. Colony Survival? Save the world Fortnite? Looking for a newer game Xbox series X game.

Any building game works, I spent hours building my MLB stadium. Tropico? Never played it but it pops up a lot.

The Tropico series has a lot to offer, but I don't think it is what you're looking for. It's a specialized Sim City style gameplay with top level geopolitical/"choices matter" type things layered on. Not really a "build and defend" that you're looking for.

Tropico, at its core, is the old Junta board game mixed with Sim City.

Get dayz and get to building your base. Just try to not starve, freeze, or die of dehydration first.

What about they are billions. Been meaning to try that out, but it looks like there are other parts of the game aside from base building that will be lame.

While there isn't a huge amount of attacks(you can change with mods) if you like base building, Factorio is the GOAT.

It is old now but the Stonghold series was the absolute best at this for me.

I tried state of Decay 2. Not as custom as I wanted. Trying Dayz today. I don’t really play online but I’m going to try rust.

I just wish fallout 4 had a build and defend gameplay. If you ever played it, similar to defending the castle in Boston. Was awesome!!!!

The Forest is coming out in about a month and seems to be what I’m looking for based off what I read. Will try rust and Dayz today. Valheim also seems like what I’m looking for

If you are looking for crafting/survival in this base building and defend genre, take a look at 7 Days to Die.

Valheim is good but it's a very slow start. You'll grind out meterial collection for days. Once you "finish" it, there's little replayability, albeit I haven't tried the expansion.
