I had to go back to an earlier save in order to do the island-hopping correctly.
I'm at 113 hours and 17/53 achievements (Steam) and ready to start the third chapter. These stories and the cinematics they use to tell them keep impressing me.
Yeah, I quick save often (and it's saved me many times) and I make hard saves right before major fights/events if I see them coming.
I went back to my save right before the fight and it worked the second time through, so no big deal.

Just got through the whole intro thing to Act 3. WOW! I may have to make a different choice when I do another play-through just to see how different things play out.

I'm just now starting to get in to Act 3. My next playthrough will definitely be The Dark Urge. Leaning towards sorcerer since I'm currently playing a paladin.

She gives you a freebie after you betray the druids and then you can romance whoever you want after. She's a way better lover than laezel ill give her that. Would be my fav if not for that cringe voice.

Its just motivating me to go back and romance jaheira, aerie and the drow chick in BG2. I think you also get to sex up mintharas great grandma back 123 years ago when bg2 takes place.

I’m having a blast so far. One of the most immersive games I can remember playing. And for a modern game, that’s impressive. Too much crap produced today.

I finished my first play through yesterday. What an amazing game! Easily one of the best, if not the best, game I've played in years.
That being said, Act 3 needs a good bit of polish and the ending(s) need some work. I know there's a bunch of cut content for the endings, so hopefully that all gets added back in at least in the definitive edition. If there's one studio I trust to hammer out the issues and deliver a full experience the quality of Acts 1 and 2, it's Larian.
Now it's time to plan my dark urge playthrough.

Man I had this same thought. I have 5 playthroughs going (2 solos, 2 duos and a trio), none of which are very far except one of my solos that is in act 3, but none of them have a monk cause I heard they were kinda weak. But man I've found a ton of dope-seeming monk gear

Monks in the table top are considered weak, but Larian did some homebrew on them and I believe they may actually be a bit OP in BG3. I'll find out soon I guess.

still plugging away at this, when i get time. Made it to Grymforge. Couldn't collect Nere's head because a druegar shoved him into the Lava
