The bugs

This shite is getting annoying. Valka has been bugged since she arrived in England. Refuses to go to her hut. Nothing I do fixes it. Pissing me off.

40 hours in and I’m not even done with the ragnarssons arc yet lol this game really is a grind and could take an incredible amount of time if you’re doing every mystery/artifact/treasure in every territory like I’ve been doing. I need to switch up my weapons, been rocking the flail and axe dual wield combo for awhile now and it’s powerful but slow, the “skirmishers” give me hell

At first I thought all the bitching about having to figure out how to get to all the treasures once you reach them was ridiculous but now I admit it is getting pretty fricking tedious, and there’s a shite ton of them in the first England area. I think I have a glitch with one in the stronghold where you find king burgreds wife in the ragnarssons arc, the map says I’m right on top of it but there’s nothing. Also, the artifact “parkours” for the tattoo designs frustrate the frick out of me. Other than that I love it, the story has roped me in and I love how different each “mystery” side quests is and the raids are awesome

I can see how most think it’s just an ok game though

I'm not sure if this is the one I'm thinking of, but I was going half insane trying to get some armor marked on my map that I couldn't figure out how to get to. So I finally Googled it and found out that it's not accessible until you reach a certain mission. So it may be worth taking a look on Googs just in case.

It's far from a bad game...I've had a fair amount of fun with it so far. It just didn't reach the level Odyssey was on. If you find it on sale in the future, I'd say it's worth $20-$25 bucks.

Time suck, time suck, time suck. That’s all this mediocre game is.

Reda contracts blitz 1000m away when you try to fast travel near them, forcing you to waste time riding to them. The unending fricking oil pot BS. The zealot BS. All for pathetic rewards. I’m really starting to hate this game and only continue using to play to complete it. Then I’ll sell this shite.

I mean, I've put nearly 40 hours in so it's not like I'm not enjoying for the most part.

I just can't play it for more than a couple hours of a time. I loved exploring in Odyssey because of the amount of interesting loot it had. It's just the same mundane stuff to find in this game so far for the most part.

Exploring the wilderness and finding a flaming mace > exploring the wilderness and finding +100 supplies and a piece of opal.

Odyssey combat was nowhere near as enjoyable. Essentially 2 kill animations in that game whereas this one does a great job integrating a bunch of different animations into the gameplay. Whole experience just feels a lot more fluid, and I find the setting to be a lot more interesting as well.

Valhalla could have been a bit more generous with the loot, but in Odyssey loot pretty much became nothing more than stat sticks after a certain point.

I won't disagree that the combat has taken a step up. I really hope they keep the stun attack/weak point system after this game.

I also hope they keep the side quest format. It’s so refreshing just having interesting little world events you can knock out in 5 minutes instead of go here kill x amount of wolves and come back.

I wandered into a crypt one night and there was a murderous nun with bodies piled up around her, praying to God for the strength to murder the invaders. Turned into a mini boss fight and was just such a cool thing to stumble upon.

The flyting and drinking challenges are really fun as well.

Spend hours clearing a map, racking up a few ingots for the privilege of spending what few resources you find to actually upgrade items. Annoying as hell. The insane amount of loot in Odyssey at least had a purpose. Dismantling for materials or selling for coin to make the upsurge ship upgrade prices easier.

There’s so much lacking in this game. And it’s boring. No variety to bosses or strategy. The parry/dodge mechanics are clunky as frick.

The retards at Ubisoft will patch a cheat to horde ingots but casually ignore fixing their fricking Yule drunken BS any time you die or fast travel.

There’s an uneven mix of finding supplies and raw materials.

Bows are harder to use and aim in this game,

I just find Odyssey a more complete, interesting game.

I think I may be done. Just throwing my hands up. Valka won't move. Nobody in the village will talk to me. Blacksmith won't speak or upgrade my weapons. And it just crashes to often. I like the game itself, but its broken. Or at least my copy is.

I enjoy the base combat of Valhalla better but I found the adrenaline attacks MUCH more useful in Odyssey. I hardly use them outside of using the exploding arrows to break through shite.

Lol what? I try not to use a bow to much because it’s so OP. You can pull out the predator bow and headshot a whole stronghold into a wasteland if you have the arrows, which they have a pile of around every corner. That’s how easy it is to use

The adrenaline recharge is also slow as hell in this game compared to Odyssey. Which is annoying as hell when trying to face tanking Zealots who constantly recharge their health while you have a limited ability to.

Also. I hate how many areas are blocked off due to insane level requirements. Large damn swaths of the map. And how high level mystery fights or mini boss fights are in low level areas.

This game just aggravates me.

This bow ain’t shite compared to the Odyssey bow, especially when you take into account Odyssey essentially has unlimited ammo to dump into elites and bosses, plus the variety of arrows, arrow abilities, and arrow types. Exploding, poison, etc.

And yea. The arrow mechanics are worst than Odyssey. With that games arrow mechanics I could crush the dumb Yule arrow contest. In this game it’s just annoying as hell.
