If it makes anyone feel better, in light of my recent issues with my two favorite games of all time, CK2 and EU4, both of these games' issues are small time. With CK2, I have to play in 10 minute bursts before I automatically get kicked off. This is after spending well over 100 in expansions and DLC. Paradox is the only gaming company I'm truly with right now.

My frame rate is solid, but I am running dual 780ti's...

I haven't updated to the latest driver but I just played about an hour. Without the driver, SLI isn't functional, so I was playing with 1 overclocked GTX 980. Haven't gone to any other district to experience the crashes, but that's pretty pathetic.

So, with a single 980 at 1440P, I get playable framerate with everything maxed out, but with FXAA. FPS stays in the 50s. If I turn on TXAA, it's low 30s with dips in the high 20s (very cinematic!). If I turn on 8x MSAA (lol), it's about 18fps average alongside some ridiculous wacky hair physics. 2x MSAA gives me framerates in the 40s-50s, with some dips in the 30s with dense crowds (lots of edges to render and downsample). As I expected, optimization seems to be better than ACIII but worse than AC IV.

Texture pop-in is comically bad on NPCs, some of them practically change their entire outfits as you walk closer to them.

I think the general outrage must stem from the fact that it actually runs like arse on consoles too. For PC, the optimization is standard Ubisoft sad.

I disagree with the outcry about the parkour changes. I've fricked up so many stealth or escape missions because my character wouldn't climb down. I like a dedicated button for each direction. Hold space to move up and E to move down. I feel more comfortable with the controls for that than I expected. I've experienced some issues with responsiveness like getting Arno to draw his weapon though.

It's not the worst pile of shite Ubisoft has released in terms of functionality, but that's not saying a lot. It is worth pirating at least

I have the newest drivers. I've tried the reddit changes. Vsync off definitely helped, but I did that before I read the reddit post because of tearing. I haven't really been keeping track of FPS, it's been easily playable though. A few stutters, other than that, it's been pretty solid.

A bunch of other Nvidia users on the ubisoft forums are reporting the same district error. Seems limited to the two southwest ones Pantheon and Saint Marcel.

Yeah, I have seen this a lot. They have way too many NPCs. I like the crowds, but even where crowds aren't at there are just a shite ton of people on the street, even at night. They should of reduced them a bit.

I love the dedicated down button. It is a big improvement. No more diving off a giant cliff with no hay at the bottom and dying. I still occassionally get stuck on an obstacle and Arno doesn't want to seem to get off it. Railings of small balconys seem to annoy me a lot.

Does anyone else have issue with the free run being weird at times? Like i'll just get to a portion in a free run, and my guy will just chill.

Free running and movement in general is just kinda bad.

Its really clunky and sometimes hard to translate what I am trying to do and what actually happens on screen.

My buddy and I did a two person co-op mission yesterday. It was a clusterfrick. Mostly because we haven't leveled our abilities very much. I just purchased Communal Sense, so that I can share my eagle vision. Hopefully we improve.

Yeah, you need to make sure you do coop missions that are close to your level. Do the 2 star ones if you are brand new.

Some of the coop can be hilarious, watching people not even try to be stealthy and then getting butt raped is entertaining.

I really like the ask for help thing that shows up from time to time to invite you into coop games with people you have played with before.

Apparently word from Ubisoft is that the error that a lot of people are having entering those two districts like me is a corrupt game save file.

All those chests and hours I put in yesterday are now meaningless. Such bullshite.
