That hope of them fixing it is what keeps selling their games.
Spoiler
They never fix it

I mean, I don't regret my purchase.

8 concerning things from unity
From an ign editor, not the same that reviewed it though.

Is the frame rate issue something to worry about? I'm deciding between this and Halo MCC right now, but if the technical issues I've heard about are bad enough I'll hold off on AC
Nevermind, went and read this thread.guess I'll be getting Halo

I bear a message from Pancho Villa

I'm currently banned but my thoughts on assassins creed unity- one of the worst ubisoft fricks ups I have ever seen. They did absolutely nothing right. Fps drops, glitches out the arse, lack of story, and terrible characters. The free running is so clunky it makes me feel like I'm running in slow motion. It makes assassins creed 3 look like ocarina of time. I'm about 6% finished with the game and I would rather play practice mode on madden then go any further with this game. frick ubisoft. frick microtransactions. frick this assassins creed.

They hid the microtransactions from the copy of the game they let people review

Seems we should refer to 11/11/14 as Black Tuesday after these two abysmal releases

This is lawsuit worthy. That might be the most unethical thing I've heard of in recent memory. That's a blatant move to engender positive press while obfuscating the shortcomings of the game. I have a number of issues with Ubisoft, but this is the one that will make me swear off their products for the immediate future. I'll pass on Unity. I seldom have time to game, so I'll dedicate my dollars and time to DA: Inquisition next week. Seems like the better prospect.

There are some reviewers that have stated today that they will no longer accept review embargoes that end after release like today.

I am having fun with the coop missions. My frame rate is solid, but I am running dual 780ti's...
My biggest complaint is two districts are completely bugged out for me. I can't enter them without crashing the game.
The microtransactions are something I haven't even noticed because it's only for people who want to unlock items without playing the game. I have had no issue making money and buying items that work fine for my level.
I am still unsure of the have to get experience points to learn the basic moves of an AC game.
Another annoying thing is if you run the training it overwrites your weapon preference with the crappiest weapon in that category. Took me a mission to realize it was a lot harder to kill people because I went from a great weapon to a shitty one.

They will be sued for that and the suit will most likely be successful. And it should be. But most unethical tings you've heard of in recent memory? Not by a long shot for me. The worst things I've heard in the past week were: A woman was shot full of arrows and burned alive in South America because people thought she was a witch last week. A Christian couple were burned alive because they owed someone money and the guy who was owed the money started a riot by saying they were blasphemers. I spoke with an immigrant who talked about former countries where he's lived and the the governments would illegally seize living complexes through shadow companies and burn the complexes to the ground with people inside for insurance purposes. This is an unethical company who is wasting our time and a little bit of our money.

The game would honestly improve 10-fold if they would patch the framerate. I was playing co-op mission and the game turned into a slide show until I pressed the options button on my PS4 controller.
Even with a steady framerate, it's probably one of the weaker Assassin's Creed titles in recent memory.

I haven't gotten a chance to play it after the prologue. It's still downloading. I will say this game is unfinished and it needs a lot of work. I'm not too concerned though personally right now. I'm going out of town soon and when I get back, I'll have DA:I, GTA V, and FC4 to last me a long arse time and hopefully then, this will be patched up good. And if it isn't, the main reason I got this game was old Paris and I'll still be able to check that out.
Win some, lose some.

Yeah. So. Um. I hadn't heard those stories. But, you know, videogames and stuff.
