Ugh. I get it that Nintendo sets up all of these lame-arse hurdles like friend codes and Dodo codes, etc because a bunch of kids are playing, but it's a colossal PITA for adults. There should be some kind of way of verifying your ID or something where you can randomly visit another player's island that has it open to visitors without all that crap.

I have hit a stretch of boredom with Animal Crossing. Been a few days since I’ve even picked it up. I’ve gotten into a mundane routine of getting on just to collect the fossils for the day, find the buried money and plant a new money tree, and find the money rock. Then I get back off. I don’t feel like I really have any goal I’m working toward.

It really needs new bug and fish content. That's my favorite part.

They need a vendor who buys sea creatures at a premium the way Flick & CJ do with bugs & fish.

One could make some serious bank if they did that. I can usually make 15-20k bells selling a single catch of sea creatures to Nook’s Cranny. I’m all for it.

Yeah, on my wife's account, her home storage looked like an episode of Hoarders, since she had hundreds of fish stashed away, waiting for CJ to show up on her island.
Between being able to offload those yesterday, and coming to my island to sell her turnips for 576 Bells, she almost paid off her 1.2M Bell loan in a single day.

Would batch processing of DIY items be so much to ask for, Nintendo?
Ahead of next week's E3 Direct, any ACNH-specific predictions from y'all?

All the seasonal DIY recipe stuff never interested me much. I’m just waiting for stag season this summer to catch all the ones I missed last year. After that, I don’t have much incentive. Last time I picked it up, there was still snow on the ground.

I didn't realize that the Young Spring Bamboo was a seasonal crafting item, as I just started playing at the beginning of April, but thankfully I stashed 2-3 stacks of it in my storage.
There's absolutely a lot more that Nintendo could do to deepen the gameplay. The $64k question is why don't they make the obvious choices? I suppose that could be asked about practically every major decision they make, however.

There will absolutely be updates coming. There's a number of core element to the gameplay that they haven't worked in yet.
Brewster's Roost
Gyroids
Tortimer

I came here to post a reminder that it's beetle/stag season again (alot are only available July and August) and share how happy I am that I just got the giant stag and scarab in the first 10 mins playing tonight, as I missed them last year. Feels good to still get new things lol.
But ya big bummer that they didn't share anything about the game at E3.

I haven't played in weeks. I'm about to go on vacation so I'll probably play a little during the downtime. I wish there was something new to go do though. I need to catch multiple of some of those bugs so I can get the models made.

This game is basically dormant and that's so weird. Outside of the seasonal content, which is just rehashed now that it's been out a year, what the heck are they doing?

There is supposed to be an update this coming week. Let's hope it is a good one and not just "holiday" items.

I caught a whale shark this morning. That’s a first. I’ve noticed there are some different fish species that have a dorsal fin sticking up out of the water. So far the two of those I’ve caught have been the whale shark and suckerfish.

Wait till you catch a sunfish. They are cool.,,agree the whale shark are too.

Eesh. Unless they make huge updates, like letting the villagers interact with stuff and giving them actual personalities other than the generic script for each personality type, I don't see me hopping back into the game. New decorations don't add to the game at all. At this point, I'm afraid to return to the island.
