I already had the stringfish, I have a few sea creatures left and the dung beetle, then my museum is complete.

Congrats!

What’s been your hardest catch? The freakin giraffe stag took me for freakin ever, burned a lot of nook miles on that one. Worst one out of the museum stuff. I forgot about art, I am way behind on art. I just don’t play enough to catch Redd a lot. Surprisingly the worst fish was the stupid pike. Sturgeon was tough in March, but I caught a ton trying to catch that god damn pike when it came back.

The giraffe stag was toughest. I spent 50 fish bait on the stringfish this morning though. I didn't want to wait to get it.

ETA We had a really hard time getting..of all things...a fly to appear.

Just started snowing on my island, and it looks like they have toys in Nook's Cranny. It sounds like it'll be a different toy each day in the seasonal section. Also saw that they're selling new wallpaper and a winter sweater under the shopping section in the atm machine.

I have had snow a couple of times. It is cool. The only problem is it is like rain...making dozens of extra flowers the next day. Lots of clean up to do. I still like it though.

So I’m at another island over the dreams, and one of my villagers (Dianna) is here and she called me a fukin hoe. I always knew Dianna was a slut, but Jesus.

The stringfish is killing me. I'm throwing bait like its Mardi Gras and it's not helping. The one time I thought I found a natural spawn it was a tire

I now check all of my cliff water features and then run the length of the beach grabbing clams until I run back past them again, and after a few laps I grind up the clams and start making it rain bait.

If I can't get it by the weekend I'm going to either get up early or stay up late grinding NMT until I find Big Fish Island.

I just need the Dung Beetle to wrap up my bugs for good. I have one ocean creature to snag for December and I'm putting that off until I have this stupid fish.

I used over 50 bait for the stringfish. I finally caught it on my highest river. A while back I started making fish bait every time I have DIY in nook miles. I had a about 60 built up. I nearly used them all. The dung beetle shows up on the 11th. My last December sea creature was the lobster. He was fast!

I used over 100 and tried to find big fish island with NMT at one point when I got tired of farming bait, no dice.

Spent every second to 9am this morning doing laps digging up clams and looking for wild spawns and throwing bait. No dice.

I got mad and spent all day fishing up almost 100 more bait so that at 4pm I could start the grind again until kickoff.

I got it on bait #7

My nephew loves fishing in ACNH, which is great because he's about to get bribed with bait for good behavior the next time he's over. Boy am I glad they upped the storage on my house!

The hunt for the Lobster this morning is going about as well as the hunt for the stringfish did, but at least the ocean creatures sell for a lot more than Black Bass do.

I got my golden fishing rod DIY in the mail this AM - the next Gulliver visit ought to trigger my golden shovel, and the dung beetle will net me my golden bug net. I may use all this sweet 'can't find a lobster' money on flimsy axes to decimate to help me finish the golden tools set.

The lobsters are the spots that have a ton of bubbles, and will move really fast when you're near them. If you only see a few bubbles at a time, you can move on to the next spot.

Thanks for the tip - apparently I only needed to destroy four more flimsy axes to get my DIY so I didn't get much of a break before having to get back to the grind

Finally got it - the snow crab shares the footprint/speed/bubble pattern and I caught at least three of them in an effort to get this big guy. Whew. Thank you!

Thanks! Now I just have to hope that Gulliver and Gullivarr share a path to the golden shovel because today was either the 29th or the 30th collective visit. If only basic Gulliver counts I'm still a ways away.

I thought they both counted but doing some quick "googling" it seems that Gullivaar may not count. If that is the case, I am a lot farther away from getting the golden shovel than I thought.

Aw, man

Well, I never cheated Gulliver out of his rusted parts so I guess I'm only that close to my giant robot

They are hard to find - no doubt. Are you fishing your highest river? I seemed to have more luck there. It still took a LOT of bait though.
