Thanks again Geaux, I am ripping through this event so I can get back to cooking in real life. :)

ETA: Done in 10 minutes flat - and I'm really grateful I had the heads up because he asked for the most obnoxious of the random items where he could, I would have spent all day in the ocean.

Glad to help!
PS I went to your island in a dream after you posted the dream address. Very cool island!

Do you get extra rewards for the secret recipes? I've damn near gotten every sea creature but the dungeness crab since yesterday lol and wanna make sure I'm not wasting my time.

Not sure. I haven't done the event yet but got the ingredients. The dungeness crab is the same size as the scallop but moves a little faster.

I got a reward for every normal recipe completed and for every secret recipe completed with the very last one being a DIY pack for all the harvest furniture that can be crafted. The turkey said it would 'go on sale tomorrow' and I was getting it early so I guess everyone can eventually buy the recipe book and make the recipes themselves, but some items are not available from the recipe book. I THINK the four items you get for doing "normal" recipes are the four that aren't available to craft - wall rug floor and the cornucopia.

I will check it out again sometime then.

I just watched a youtube video that said the DIY pack will sell for 19,000 bells. That is a lot as DIY packs go.

i also watched 2 videos on how to prepare your island for the Christmas season. You have to have 28 cedar trees. I'll post the links soon

I just watched these 2 videos. This person says you have to have 28 cedar trees on your island before Dec 15th to be able to get the ornaments that make the DIY Christmas stuff. The 1st video explains about the trees. The second video shows how to shake them and the areas they will fall. It looks like a 14 square area is needed around each tree to get the max ornaments. If you don't have that, you could just keep shaking it longer after picking up the ornamants that fall.

Non time hoppers get to catch the last bug (dung beetle, rolls on the ground) and fish (pond smelt, small shadow in river) tomorrow.

I just read that the dung beetle doesn't show up until the 11th. It has something to do with when you can roll snowballs.

Also there is something about you have to make wrapping paper for Jingle who will come on the 24th. You have to use ornaments to do this. I am going to try to find out the exact requirements so I have enough ornaments on hand that night. I intend to use most of my ornaments to make Christmas DIYs. I want to have enough left.

Nothing yet about the ornaments but you have to buy the Santa suit in Ables store

Starting at 8PM on Christmas Eve, you'll be able to find Jingle walking around your island. Jingle will give you presents for your villagers, but only if you're dressed up as Santa when you talk to him! You can find Santa gear being sold at the Ables Sister shop,

Throughout the month of December from the 1st to the 24th, the player will be able to purchase Santa Claus clothing and matching accessories from Animal Crossing's Able Sisters and Kicks. Also during this time, villagers will drop hints to the player regarding what kind of holiday present they want to receive on Toy Day. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Jingle can be found in the plaza until 6pm that day. In order for the player to receive a gift from him, they are required to dress like Santa Claus and hand out holiday gifts to their villagers. Animal Crossing: New Horizons will likely implement something similar where the player must wear a Santa hat, beard, coat, pants, and boots while performing Kris Kringle's duties.

Do you know which fall/acorn recipes you’re missing? I think I have an extra for a pine bonsai

I already had the stringfish, I have a few sea creatures left and the dung beetle, then my museum is complete.

Anyone else irrationally angry that the shop and resident buildings are already decorated for Christmas but we can't yet

I've done some minor decorating with holly, red and white flowers everywhere, sled with mountain stands, etc but damnit I'm ready to go all out.
