We restarted our island a while back and working on it slowly.

Is there anyway other than when you build your house out to expand storage?

1600 is the max for one house
However, I think each island can take 8 houses? I've seen people make a new character, get that house to max size and either decorate the new place with stuff that would otherwise be stored in the main house (like a space museum?), or put long term storage stuff in that house storage and keep the current house storage for clothes or crafting mats.

Only maple lead DIY I got so far is a maple leaf umbrella. I might need some of you baws to craft some recipes on my island

Of course I just purged 200 items
I saw they are patching in a better way to transfer the island to a new switch too. I guess they got tired of having an entire team of customer support reps having to authorize it by hand each time someone bought a new switch!

I need to play more. I'm still way behind on the mushroom DIYs. I also have over 100 spare DIYs on my beach that I need to get rid of. If there's something specific that anyone wants, let me know and I can always mail it to you.

That's my list of things I am still looking for - it's mostly obscure flower DIYs (crowns/wreaths) plus the seasonal stuff that isn't out yet / I'm not done farming up

No worries - they're all still DIYs I need because they're apparently very obscure.
All the mushroom and maple leaf DIYs come out of balloons so I'm probably going to have to spend another weekend farming the shoreline for balloon spawns.

Bad news as far as balloons for maple leaves--I am starting to get duplicates.
Did Isabelle give everybody the red leaf pile? I also got that DIY from a balloon.
So far I have received:
Autumn Wall
Leaf Stool
Maple-leaf pond stone (have extra DIY)
Red leaf pile (have extra DIY)
Maple-leaf umbrella
We may need to team up and exchange recipes.

Once I get extras, I'd be willing. I only got 1 mushroom DIY last night. I guess I try some more tonight. It's such a slow process. At least the Halloween ones were plentiful.

Mike, if you ever want any particular mushroom craft, I can still send you one. I never got duplicate mushroom recipes (except mush log after I got the rest) but I am getting duplicate maple

I can't get any DIYs from balloons today - apparently the balloon gods think I am desperately in need of winter fashion, I keep getting winter season clothes

They need to fix the balloon diy system. Let villagers have seasonal recipes like they did for Halloween. Grinding balloons isn't fun for anyone lol.

That or go back to the balloon system for Easter where special holiday balloons are in the mix that only ever have holiday stuff in them. There was a point where I was very happy to see the egg balloons and then later in the month I was able to stop farming those particular ones.
