Staying in Zachary for a ball tournament. Where are some good local joints to eat?
Mexican? Seafood?

Not much there. Cafe Phoenicia is decent.

Jarreau's Cajun Specialties for seafood.
El Agave isn't bad TexMex.

Mexican - papis, el agave or vaqueros are all about the same tier. The latter two are run by the same family. Jarreau’s is usually really good. Maybe take a ride to St Francisville for the Francis. Cafe Phonecia is really good Greek and Lebanese.

If y’all come back through do try Cajun catch. It’s also solid if you like fried stuff. Their roast beef poboy au jus is one of my favorite meals. They are about to shut down for a few weeks to move in a new building almost next to its current location.

Yes and yes.

LeBlancs is OG Zachary. Great hamburgers. I grew up eating the fried shrimp poboy and nachos. I’ve been low carb for about a year but when I cheat that’s high on my list to go after. They have good hot plate lunches also. Kind of a throw back eatery.

Cajun catch is really good other than the catfish. We’ve ordered it at work and it was fishy. The boudin balls and onion rings are really good.
