I watch his videos pretty regularly. He puts out good stuff but I saw this one last night and had to share.

LINK

My first thought when I saw he was boiling on the stovetop was I wonder what his house smelled like for the next week.

Warning: His schtick is kind of cringe and takes some getting used to.

Good example of "not everything on the internet is a good idea"

if this is the video i watched yesterday, it was more "seafood boil with some crawfish" than a "crawfish boil"

Appears to be a KitchenAid test kitchen.

I mean, as far as botched cajun food videos go, this one really isn't all that bad. I'd argue some of Isaac Toups's videos are worse.

Weissman is legitimately a talented chef. That being said his personality can be absolutely insufferable. For what it's worth, he wasn't always like this. If I'm not mistaken when he started putting out content he was either a line cook or a sous chef at a Michilan starred restaurant. He seemed like a cool guy then. He had some falling out and quit to make content full time and that's when he changed. I don't know if this is who he really is or just who he is on camera to get clicks.

Surprised he didn't overcook them with a 10 minute boil time. Must of had like no soak and needed that butter for seasoning.

Yeah. I can't watch his vids, but he can sling it. Worked at Uchiko

He cooks out of a rented space in Houston.

Yeah that dude knows his shite, but his video persona is grating AF.
