Sounds like you worked at a McD's that didn't take pride in the finest item on its menu.

I just posted what I saw when I worked there. I agree with you about the fish being your favorite on the menu. I really enjoyed eating one during Lent. I still like them but I haven't been to a fast food restaurant in a couple of years. When I lived in Montgomery I loved the biscuits that Hardees made. They would make their biscuits from scratch every morning. Channel 8 in Montgomery did a segment about Hardees and they showed the biscuits being made. I would always get a bacon biscuit. I never order an egg from a fast food place. McD's get their eggs that are frozen and they put them in a vat that warms them and it keeps them warm. McD's only uses fresh eggs for its egg mcmuffin. Burger King uses the frozen eggs. Hardees uses powdered eggs and mixes it with water. I loved Hardees biscuits and I also like the Egg Mcmuffin at Mc Donalds.

The new chicken sandwich is very underrated. I go crispy chicken sandwich no pickles add Mayo with fries and a sweet tea.

Fast food threads are great. Almost every post has a disclaimer.

But I haven’t been in forever.
Only on road trips
I can’t tell you the last time….
It’s been years, but…..

Big Mac. Large Fry. Sweet n Sour sauce. Water.

When I was a kid, my grandma would take me to the McD's on Plank, across from Piggly Wiggly and I would get a #1 (Big Mac, fries and a coke) for $2.99. She would get a small fry and we would eat on the stone benches, under the trees. I haven't had McD's in several decades, but I do cherish those memories of "Grammie" taking me for lunch, while she watched me, while my parents worked.

I don't go but a couple times a year for a sausage biscuit and hash brown.

Haven't had one of their hamburgers in forever but have been having a taste for one lately for some reason. Just the regular hamburger, not a big mac or anything.

Filet-O-Fish, is one of life’s great mysteries. Everything I know tells me it shouldn’t be a good sandwich, but for some reason I always enjoy it.

I only eat one or two of these a year.

Always in Lent.

Always amazed at how good they are. It’s inexplicable.

Really the main thing that can mess it up is if the bread isn't soft/warm/steamy.

Lackadaisical tartar sauce and cheese placement can deduct a few points but still good.

Fwiw- The picture posted with that price is from 1993 so it was thirty years ago .

The supersizing thing started in the late 80's until late 90's

It absolutely was until the mid 90s. I started driving in 1993 and I remember $3.23 with tax for a quarter pounder meal like it was yesterday

Remember that steak egg and cheese bagel they used to have??!! Wow. Kinda glad they discontinued it, that was dangerous.

That was the best thing they had on their menu. It looks like they brought bagels back so maybe they will bring the steak back too.
