Its Castleburys Hot Dog Chili Sauce. There was a major recall on this product and it came back out as All American Chili. Things have settled down and its back out as Castlebury's. Mix a small can with Hormel, if you don't do your own. Oh, and available at WM.

The only thing that has ever given me heartburn in my life.

This and it's not even close.
Okay, I've been experimenting with chili dogs recently and this motivated me to register so I could respond. I've tried Hormel and Wolf Brand Chili to make chili dogs in the last few weeks. I saw they had Castleberry's (it's not Castlebury's) hot dog chili sauce a couple weeks ago and grabbed a can to sample.
It never made it on top of a dog. I heated it in a pan, took one taste, and threw the rest out in disgust. It seemed relatively bland but the biggest knock was that it has chopped up beans as an ingredient! Disgusting. And it gave it a sort of gritty quality. Granted, I only sampled it once. Check your labels. Do they have a recipe without beans? That's great if you like it but let others be warned.
Personally my favorite is Wolf, probably because I think it has more of a cumin flavor than Hormel. I add some hot sauce to spice it up. Sometimes I'll pour a little beer in the can, maybe about 2/5 full, to help clean out the chili stuck in the bottom then add that to the pot and cook it down 'til the moisture is reduced. I think it makes the chili a little more rich for topping a dog but it isn't as good if you're eating the chili by itself.
Also...mustard, diced onion, chili, and shredded cheddar cheese on my chili dogs, in that order.
My biggest problem is finding the perfect buns and dogs. Some of the better dogs are on the thick side and I think a chili dog needs a thinner wiener so there's more room for toppings. A Hebrew National is too big. Some of the thinner dogs are really low quality. I'm still searching.
And then the buns. It seems I basically have two choices: Either cheap, crappy grocery store buns loaded with preservatives or fancier buns that are too big and crusty for a chili dog (or even a bratwurst). Does no one make a decent hot dog bun anymore? I haven't tried King's Hawaiian because they look like they'd be too sweet.
Just thought I would share my research on the subject.

A few years ago, I was stocking up for hurricane supplies and they had Wolf Brand Chili on sale. I grabbed three or four cans and threw them in my basket. One day, while looking for something quick to eat, I ran across the chili in my cabinet. I pulled out a can, threw it in a pan and heated it up. Never having had Wolf Brand before, I fixed a bowl and went to eating. I couldn't find anything to add to that chili to make it taste good!
I ate it so as not to waste it but it was my first and last bowl of the brand.
Donated the other cans during a food drive. I felt bad for doing that to some poor hungry person!

Hormel no chili is my go-to... but I just had to add: I cannot tolerate microwaved hotdogs. Mine have to be boiled, steamed, or grilled.
