Atomic burger is just a shake shack/smashburger ripoff with a milkshake gimmick. I pass by the one in Metairie all the time during lunch and it’s never busy. I don’t have high hopes for one in BR.

I really think a deep dish pizza by the slice would do good where Francois is. You could get a lot of lunch action and sell pies for dinner to the Jefferson terrace and Westminster peeps.

Possibly. I pass by there on my way home from work and pick up Albasha for dinner about 2-3 times per month.

Interesting. I always thought they had a decent crowd, especially with the live music. Anyone know what’s up with them closing?

Food was horrible and the bands were always way too loud.

That's the same problem another restaurant had at Perkins Rowe.. Magnolia Grill maybe? Seems people don't want to sit down to dinner with the music blowing the plates off the table.. and I concur.

Anyone know if the owners of Lava ever opened "The Colony" in Texas?

Have you been? It seems like a HUGE undertaking at 28,000 sq ft. Unless the new venue works purely as a music venue, their shitty version of tex mex will not work in Texas. If they attempt to be a restaurant first, it will be a blown $8M.
