Cecilia looks like perhaps the same fate.

Can't say I would have EVER predicted Twine going out of business.

not really surprised at Twine. Their food was excellent, but too expensive to eat all the time.

Unless there is some other similar concept willing to pay more, I doubt it only because all these markets seems to have an oyster place in them.

Bar Louie is definitely done for. Got ghetto after awhile.

On another note Mooyah on Lee drive after just 1 year closed. The owner said it would make 10 million a year. Very laughable. Chimes doesn’t even do that. So ridiculous.

I’m going to go with Barcadia at the North Gates of LSU. They were barely breathing right out of the get go. The place only wanted to spend a few hundred thousand on renovations. They ended up spending over a million. Couldn’t pay their staff in the beginning. I don’t see them finishing out the 2019 year.

Lucy’s and now Lava Cantina, what’s wrong with that location? I mean, it’s on 3rd street.

Downtown is dying. Our Mayor president killed it with the revitalized alcohol laws. All of the bars are struggling. It’s not coming back until they turn 3rd street back to the days where you can drink out in the open.

I don’t think ive been downtown in 2 years to have a drink. Too many options close by in the middle of town.

3rd street was on a serious decline way before our new mayor took office

Yeah. Paper bags line the window with a sign saying “thanks but we are closing this location”.

Honestly they probably had maybe 100 customers per day. So maybe $1000 a day, 10k a week. 40k a month. Doesn’t pay the bills at all. It was always empty. Too many burger options in the area.

Anything by the mall is terrible and ghetto. Glad to see them all do poorly

And Mooyah is an average burger at best. We need more quality burger places and less average. Fat Cow is around the corner from there and 10x better

always seems busy too...

I prefer a classic bacon cheese burger from curbside, then its fat cow

Compared to regular Piccadilly? Or just in general?

I went to a regular Piccadilly for the first time in October, and I knew it wasn't going to be gourmet food but I loved it

I live in the subdivision behind there, so that area is perfect for me and I hate to see places close. But yeah, I can't say I was a regular at Mooyah.

I actually went on Friday for the chicken sandwich and it was no longer on the menu.

Fat Cow must have changed because that shite was terrible for several years. Patty tasted like breakfast sausage.

i got the chicken fried steak... i gave it a 3 out of 10. It passed the eye test but the batter was real soggy. The gravy was super thin. D milk might have been thicker.

Mac and cheese was bland as shite

green beans were green beans

SO got the fried chicken and said it was not great.

Like I said, with Rouses being right in the area, i would go there before this place.

The drive through lady though was awesome!
