I mean it is a vacant lot and I know Rouses is right next door but would a Whole Foods work here? With the amount of people moving into the area plus the 1000+ new homes being built off Burnside it seems this would be an area Whole Foods would thrive.

Gonzales is expanding they have over 2000+ homes coming up in Ascension and the population is blowing up. Whole Foods is coming to the area, if that is off Airline closer to BR or if that is in Gonzales it is eventually coming.

They can't handle Rouses ruining what LeBlanc's had.
I can say I've essentially quit shopping at Ascension Parish Rouses because their quality sucks and I've had multiple bad experiences.

I will shop at Ralph's, Alexanders, Wal-Mart, or go to a local shop for meat and cheese instead of Rouses.

Preach!
Rouses is horrible. I routinely go out of my way to not shop there.

As I’ve stated in other threads, I can’t figure out how Rouses fcked up so bad so fast in that area. They do a pretty good job in most areas, but I’ve heard from many customers and employees of stores that they bought out that they suck in the AP

Rouses in Thibodaux is perfectly fine, anything in Ascension is complete trash. I shopped at the Rouses by K-Mart, Rouses on Airline, Rouses on 42, and all horrible.

As I said I do Ralph's, Alexanders, Wal-Mart, Harvest (which I forgot to mentions) or a local shop for meats now. I don't understand it either because the stores I've visited in New Orleans are fantastic as far as quality and service.

Blue collar sundries and a wine section stacked with yellow tail?

It was like every other grocery store in AP with the token sushi stand and bulk paper plate aisle.

bullshite. The wine selection at the airline Leblancs be was pretty good and it's no better now. Rouses took a good store and turned it shitty.

I wouldn’t think that location would work. Now, in the new development (I forget the name) south of I-10 on 44 might be a good fit. My hunch is that maybe Sprouts would expand there. No evidence, wishful guess only

Yeah over near Pelican point. Rumor is some of the house on Airline going towards Sorrento a developer is buying to build more subdivisions. They have several abandoned homes due to the flood. I know one had a for sale sale and they own 34 acres.

Is this a question with facts? Is there a rumor that a WF is going to that location or is this just some random question? I’m confused. Also, most probably will be a Fresh Market to start is my guess.

Just a question now, however, the way Ascension is growing eventually a Whole Foods or similar type grocery store will come to the area. May be on Burnside near RPCC, may be closer to Dutchtown area, never know.
