We all know the real winners are Lambda’s dogs, who got to eat an entire doberge cake! But the winners of the actual votes are:

1. Lambdatiger89 - The Almost Praline Doberge

2. Darla Hood - Lemon Cakes

3. LouisianaLady - Gumbo Cakes

Got Blaze - Amaretto Cheesecake with Walnut Praline Filling

Submission Thread for Cake Challenge

Thank you cake makers, voters, and viewers!

Your dogs don’t like watermelons?

I actually have a watermelon in the fridge. And am oddly allergic to it. Might still participate though so I can do something with my little sous-chef.

Congrats on the win.

ME TOO, never met anyone else that was , what are your symptoms?

I can touch the green rind and I can eat the red meat, just can not touch the meat or juice or my fingers will break out start peeling and then cracking till they bleed....eat watermelon with gloves or with a fork and knife and I am good

so you can ingest watermelon, you just can't touch it?

that is the darndest thing I ever heard.

My aunt is too, so it must be genetic? I'm not allergic to anything else in the world that I know of, other than being outside. Pollen is a bitch.

I can eat it, it just makes my mouth and throat itchy for a few hours. So nothing major, just an inconvenience more than anything. Its the oddest thing.

Touching it produces no reaction. How funny that you can eat it, but not touch it. Complete opposites of such a weird, rare allergy.

Yes, i agree, took a lot of trial and error to figure out, Dr just shook his head and said allergies can do some strange shite

Oops, I usually include a link to the submissions thread. Some people include recipes and some don’t. You might have to ask specifically.

I can barely frost a simple cake, much less do something like this! Believe me, I had no thought that my cakes for the challenge looked anything but amateurish. They tasted good, though.

Kudos to your wife.

There’s a reason I don’t vote in these threads.
I choose to envision a buffet where I can have them all.
