I don't use Waitr that much anymore unless the entire office is ordering. I checked a couple weeks ago because I was busy and didn't want to leave the office for lunch. A wrap would've cost me nearly $20 with a bag of chips and no drink. I just went pick it up and spent $9.

Use code "TRICKORTREAT" for free delivery in the month of october. Works for everyone not just new users. Don't know if it's BR only.

I woke up to a message on my phone this morning that they are dropping all delivery fees to $4.

"WAITR - Raping the restaurants and passing the savings on to you."

I mean if the cost is too high, restaurants don't HAVE to be on the platform....restaurants want the added sales though so they do it.

unless things have changed they don’t adjust based on distance or offer no fee promotions

Seems like once a week I'm getting an email about a promotional free delivery. Today they knocked their flat delivery price from $5 to $4.

Outside of certain markets, I just think there's too much competition. Tons of places are now offering their own delivery people, especially in larger cities. Then, as said, for a single person its too costly to pay someone to deliver. If you have a larger office, its often easier and cheaper just to send someone to get it. So now you are talking about deliveries for families or small groups to only a limited amount of places.

Just seems like a very tough business model.

I know someone with a sandwich/ lunch plate place in the CBD. He told me that Waitr fees are cheeper for him than Uber Eats (he only has the two). And he thinks the Waitr app pushes more business his way than Uber Eats.

Uber Eats charges 25%. Grub hub is next expensive to restaurants I believe, then Postmates, then Waitr.

I know some Waitr restaurants under a 15% deal. The more locations you have, the better deal you can negotiate with them

WAITR stock trading at .60/share

The departure comes as the delivery provider faces a lawsuit, a boycott, financial losses and is for sale, says RB’s The Bottom Line.
