Why doesn't Baton Rouge have a Dickeys BBQ?

Was in Lake Charles for work today and ate at Dickeys for the first time.
That place is really good for basic BBQ. I looked them up and saw we used to have one on Corporate but it closed. It had to be the location. Anything on Corporate is a bitch to get to.

The only time I’ve ever had Dickey’s it was the worst bbq I’ve ever eaten. It wasn’t in lake Charles though

Some are better than others, but non are great. The ones I’ve encountered on the Carolinas are not too terrible for fast food bbq.

My only complaint at this location is their prices. Meat to go is around $17/ pound. My wife and kids like their sliced smoked turkey and it is convenient, but I can’t get past the pricing.
I do enjoy their complimentary soft serve ice cream though.

We live in Houston. Dickies isn't great, but it's closer than the other places around us that are more popular. I usually settle for them as the others aren't that much better yo drive an extra 15 minutes. It's not bad at all. I have been to bad ones though. Plus free ice cream.
