Could really go for a nice wedding cake snoball right now from Sal's. Hot as hell out here.

I'm assuming things have gotten better with the distribution of the good ice shaving machines, but in the past when I was out of state somewhere, the snoballs, were always garbage. Big crunchy ice pieces, Very little syrup, and the syrup was horrible.

If you have a Korean restaurant near you call and ask if they have Bingsu, it might scratch your itch.

There are shaved ice places all over Alabama and have been for at least 20 years.

Just one of the chains store locators. Snobiz

Meh.
Two totally different things. I get those things to, but snowball stands are just so nice for a hot evening out with the kids.

We have a local franchise of a New Orleans style place. Didn't realize it for a few years but we go all the time now (and I get wedding cake).

Butch please

Those are desserts. A snowball isn’t a dessert but rather a refreshing summer treat

If you are in BR that one in front of Reeves supermarket on Old Hammond at N Harrells Ferry is really good. The lines get long though.
