God bless its been a morning.

My injector was cracked and wouldn't suck up my injection so I duct taped the son of a bitch.

I cut myself with a kitchen knife

Knocked a package of thyme on the floor which went everywhere

Put my probe in a raw bird and it read 138°. Tested it in some ice water on got 66°. but I think I got it sorted.

Bird is on smoke aiming for around 5 this evening. Time for a beer.

Boneless breast here

Been on for four hours so far just trying to get that internal temperature right now

fricked myself with to much black smoke when I had to fuel the fire

Checked my temps at 11:00 and hit all my numbers. 160’s in the breast, 170’s in the thighs. But it was only a little over 3 hrs...

Wrapped and rested in a 200 degree oven for another 20 mins or so, then will rest in a cooler until 3:00. But perplexed how/why it finished so soon. Thermometer was around 300-310 the whole time. Granted the proble was next to the bird, so temps were probably hotter than that. But still..

Went in the bit barrel at 9:30. Looking to eat for 1:30-2. 2 hours and 5 minutes in and I’m at 140. She rolling.

Consensus on probe temp to take off smoker?

I was thinking 160* in breast and let rest 30 min or so

It's just my wife and I so we decided to try a bone-in breast this year. It's at 150 about 2 hours in. Going faster than I wanted, but should still be good.
