Should have been around when you could just walk in the back and get your stuff without a line.
Remember when you could get $5 growlers of Ghost? I remember.

And now, when I drink the more saturated IPAs like DDH ghost and Gnarmagedon they all literally taste the same.
Don't even get me started on the sameness of NEIPAs. They're good, and I enjoy them from time to time, but I don't understand the obsession with them that has taken hold and makes people line up for the same beer. I thought it would have died down by now once people like yourself realized they are all the same thing, but apparently this hype train is still speeding down the tracks.
I can't knock the prices as I'm guilty of paying $30-$40 for bottles of certain sour styles.

Lots of complaints on their FB page, but I've gotta be honest, no need for Parish to change the process at this point.
Think about it, people bitch and moan about what Parish does with these releases, yet even some of those same people will get them one of those tickets next time for the privilege of purchasing some high dollar release, and said release will sell out within 90 seconds again.
Until there's enough people fed up that no matter what they put out, it sits on the shelves for a while, then Parish has no reason to change the model unless they just have an inner desire to.

That's because it has nothing to do with the beer and everything to do with the rareness and exclusivity of having whichever certain beer so the neckbeards can log it to uptapped.
Think about the fact that the glasses even sold out in a minute. That makes even less sense to me. Is the glass that great to everyone? It can't be, it's just perceived as cool and rare in the beer world
It's all a hype driven fugazy

Nowhere near the demand of tree house though
You realize those huge, regional haze factories routinely sell the amount of beer Parish did today, right? That’s just what they call a Tuesday. And that’s without there being some special release. Parish selling out 500 cases (no idea, just pulling a number out my butt) of DDH Ghost doesn’t means they’re suddenly on the same level in regards to hype. How many Parish releases DON’T sell out instantly? This is the exception for them.

Do those places sell in grocery stores/c stores/etc around the region?

All I said originally is that they received national hype similar to a place like tree house which meant they do things for audiences outside of just south LA like they used to.
I never once said "parish is exactly like tree house" no matter how hard you guys think I did. I don't know why you guys are being so defensive about it.

DDH Ghost is there most well known but Boudin & Cracklin was their best...
Posted on 5/26/20 at 3:42 pm to tduecen
Ghost diamonds and b&c were so damn good.
Posted on 5/26/20 at 3:49 pm to TH03
DDH Ghost is still the only one I have people I traded with 5+ years ago start messaging me again for though
Posted on 5/26/20 at 4:09 pm to tduecen
But have they made GD and B&C again? DDH ghost is the one they keep making. If they made the other 2 again, hell, I'd probably drive over for it.

Why would they need to deal with distribution when they can sell $100k in beer on any give day ON SITE?
Posted on 5/26/20 at 4:13 pm to tduecen
I’ve never had the DDH Ghost, at this point I’m sure I never will since I’m from Bossier & have to drive 3hrs to even get a special release from them. Hell its easier for me to fly to Portland and load a suitcase full of beer & mule it back than it is to get DDH Ghost.
May even be better beer as well, IDK?
I’m going to try my hand at scoring a case of Job Money from All Relations this week though.

My point being that there's only one place to get the beer so of course they will have more of these days than a place that sells most of their stuff everywhere.
Again, not sure why you're getting so defensive here.

Just pointing out the false equivalency you’re making. The two operations are of an entirely different sort and scale, and it’s not really close.

Those were a Collab with Other Half, so they won't be making them again

You're pointing out something I never did though.
I said parish has a national appeal similar to places like tree house. I said they can price their beer higher and do these presales because they aren't just making beer for their region. They know people all over with buy or try to trade for them, like places like tree house.
I never once even spoke or mentioned scale or anything else, only that a category of breweries exist where people post "ISO;FT" on every post they make. Parish is one of said breweries. Treehouse is also one of those breweries.
You and Abita have been so offended by the mere mention of treehouse and a lesser brewery in the same sentence that you've been blinded to see what I actually said.
It's ridiculous and so is the fact that I have to continuously explain this.

B&C batch #2 was canned on 1/31/20 but it was released at Other Half only. (1st time was done at Parish).... Hopefully the OH guys come down again for a collab soon.
An OH/ All Relation collab is inevitable at some point

That one will be easier to get since they don't have the hype of Parish :lol
Plus only a 45 minute drive vs 1:45 hour

AR is slightly easier for me

AR deserves the hype but they’ve only been open 6 months. Selfishly I like being able to easily get it

Yea mines not quite as easy but I’m going to try to score a case of Job Money this week. We’ll see how that works out.
