Back in college, it was $3, then $4, then $5, then $6 calzones on Wednesday

when i was a freshman at LSU, it was $5 on Wednesdays. We had intramural basketball games every Wednesday night and we'd always hit up Rotolo's afterwards. I'll never forget when they raised it to $6. It was like they had killed a family member. Our whole team swore off Rotolo's and we didnt eat there for like a year. all over a dollar, so absurd

They need to bring back the Priazzo.

This man knows.

The P'Zone sucked.
Priazzo and Triple Decker were much better.

I want one of those Priazzo things they sold for like 3 weeks in the 80's. They might taste like complete shite 30 years down the line, but I remember these things being off the chart awesome.

It failed miserably because you had to go to the restaurant (no delivery then) and it took an hour (!) to cook.

Calzones are just pizza turnovers right?

Pizzas don't come stuffed with ricotta cheese.

Thank you! Apparently we are the only 2 people around that know a calzone is supposed to have ricotta. Drives me nuts.

I loved a P'zone as a kid

A Talkboy from home alone 2 and a Pzone were like my only goals in life at age 8

Possibly, I worked with a few E's. EC was a driver from Woodlawn, and EA was a cook from Runnels. There may have been others, but that was over 10 years ago lol.

Unless you mean the owner, Ernie, and that guy was nice, but crazy (not in a bad way).

I mean tons of pizzas have ricotta on them. I think almost every white pizza I've had has ricotta. Take a white pizza and flip it in half, crimp the edges, and you have a GIANT calzone

I mean you can say the same thing about tacos vs burritos.

I did in an earlier post in this same thread

It's one of the mysteries of the world to me. Pizza/calzone taco/burrito/enchilada. Hell everything at a mexican joint is the same 5 ingredients in different assortments
