Two years makes a significant difference in this case. 12 has much more prominent oak notes.

Does it have those medicinal cherry notes like the Calumet 15/16? I don’t think I’ve had any decently aged brown-foreman. The barrel proofs are fantastic though.

I don't have the Calumet bottles, but I certainly haven't picked up on anything resembling medicinal notes. I've only had two pours of the 12, but it's excellent.
In terms of initial impressions, it's sitting in a small group behind the 4R limited edition of my favorite pours this year.
I've had much more of the 10. I'd characterize it as good to very good. It blew away the jd bonded in the blind head to head.
IMO, Jack Daniels has been killing it over the last few years.
Lasix, I got the 12 via trade. No hope of finding it in LA thanks to the 700 ml nonsense.

I’ve heard it was good but that’s some super high praise. I’m assuming I’ll never see a bottle of this to purchase, but I’ll keep an eye out for a pour and for those new SBBP Ryes from their new program. As a rye fan, that’s a dream come true.
