They only bought 57 barrels from Willett. Not sure if any made it to LA (I’m pretty sure they didn’t). Spec’s had them on shelves for weeks, wish I had a connect in Texas, almost drove out there

I got my hopes up when the entry level Hirsch bottles showed up, but didn't take long to realize it wasn't going to happen, lol. I've kept my eye on secondary, but a little too rich to take a flyer on.

FPD, this one comes in hot but I like how it finishes.

Hell of a night on the north shore

Well? What were the results? I’m guessing the 10th anniversary won out, but I’m curious to your final thoughts. LUNCHBOX brought me a pick that I plan to compare to the 9th release.

We did a 5 bottle blind flight of:

EHT Warehouse C
Michters 10yr Rye
Kentucky Owl 11yr rye second release
Noah’s Mill
Rebel 10yr



I’m trying to remember the final rankings after averaging them out, but I believe it was:

1- M10
2- KO
3/4 (tied)- EHT and NM
5- R10


Lunch has the documented results, so hopefully he chimes in and updates this for me.




The most surprising was that NM competed very well with the other hard to find big hitters. It received between the five of us a ranking of 1,2,3,3,5 if memory serves me correctly. Again lunch will have to correct me if wrong. But damn that is one hell of a competitor for a $50 readily available bottle. NM is fantastic!



ETA: Lunch texted me the results and I have updated them accordingly. Yeah that Noah Mill is stupid good and deserves more respect
