Cheers pal

Had a few at the in-laws, back at home now with this fresh crack

ETA: this is a fricking great pour. The nose shifts to the palate is pretty wild. Not much sweetness on the palate for such a sweet nose. Going to let it sit for a bit to see if it changes.

Nose:

Maple syrup
Cinnamon
Glazed donut

Palate:

Dark fruits
Cinnamon

Finish:

Heavy Willett cinnamon, classic profile for them

After sitting for a while, the big noticeable difference is that oak starts to be pretty pronounced on the palate.

Glad to see you cracked it! Nice to see the tasting notes. There's definitely some overlap. The neck pour blew me away as well.

Went play some golf and swung by fruge farms to pick up some presale bottles of JT Meleck. Fruge daughter in law was out there bringing you the bottles.

Review coming later.

Couldn’t agree more. This goes down as one of the best overall barrel picks I’ve bought in the bourbon/rye market. Fantastic.

I don’t remember. It was the one that had more caramel, cinnamon etc , which I love that profile.
