I think so. I was able to sample it at the Zuppardo’s the other night and was quite impressed. That being said, I don’t feel it’s worth more than retail. I see people asking $150 range for it on secondary which I wouldn’t do but at MSRP it’s got a great unique flavor I found to really like. I use to see it alot before I got to sample it and passed many times on it and now that I’d like to purchase it I can’t find it.

Guess I shouldn’t have passed it up then. Ugh. If I come across it I’ll have to bite the billet and buy it.
That Blue Run is another. I’ve been eyeing it, but it has one hefty price tag. I have seen enough people here and elsewhere sing its praises that I’ll have to fork over the cash and get a bottle at next opportunity.

I wasn’t overly impressed with the Blue Run 14, I can’t speak for the High Rye of their own distillate though. The 14 is basically any of these other older Barton bourbons (Calumet, Sam Houston, Kentucky Owl, some batches of Four Gate, etc…). IMO they are all overpriced for what they are, but I’m also not a huge Barton fan (too much oak tannins on their older whiskeys, IMO).
