2PD

I’m curious your thoughts as well. That’s my March buy, since I’ve already maxed out my February budget with...
1PD. Went to grab the wife some Prosecco, and saw this on the shelf. The only one they had as well. After all the glorious praise I saw yesterday, I went ahead and grabbed it.
Initial sip: came on strong, but plenty going on. After resting a few minutes: yeah this is very good. Super rich, plenty of complexity. Finish goes for a while. I approve.
ETA: yes I had some rookie drip with my pour

If you don't mind me asking, where did you find it?
Posted on 2/6/21 at 7:11 pm to Jelly Clown Johnson
Martins in Mandeville. That had one each of this and their standard release.

Funny, that’s one place I never go.

Great place. Pricing is always decent and they are helpful.

I interpret this thread to include all spirits.
So FPD is some sotol.

Anybody had both of Martin's recent two picks of BT? I find the more recent of the two to be much better.

Ok turns out I lied. I must have seen the cocktail experiment, but the other mixer I got is this one :
Just made a drink with it, and it’s definitely not as powerful as the bitter milk. At 2:1 bourbon to mixer it definitely lets the bourbon shine through. That said I think I prefer the bitter milk a long as it’s mixed right.
Cheers gents

I only have the most recent, but it's a great bottle.

If you live out here you should. When we were southsore I went to the metairie one. Moving here I tried going to this one, but I felt the selection was limited. I’ve been buying from all places around town, but I’m a loyalist to them now after speaking with the manager there, he’s a really nice dude, and he will work to find anything you want. Plus their selection lately has been better.
I highly recommend it.

Friday I hit up 4 different spots for lunch and skipped TW, I see like 30 minutes after getting home that TW had a case of OF SBBS that was available at the time that I was hitting up other stores, mother frick

I used to work at the original one on Barrone way back in the day, like late 90's, when I got out of high school.
The one over here is just so much smaller compared to uptown and Metairie. I really just never went in there because the selection wasn't super great.
I'll bet that bottle was part of the New Orleans Martin's shipment, and they just threw Mandeville a bottle.

The more business and support they get for whiskey I think will increase their selections on the shelves. He’s very eager to get what you want if they don’t have it, and he can get it from any of the other stores. I like acquistipace for their selection, but you don’t get the same knowledge and personal experience there. At Martin’s I can talk to them and they take the time to educate me. That’s huge in my book.

It was a Martin's Metairie order. 18 bottles came to the state in total.
