Rumor has it that Old Carter American Whiskey is made from it but aged with staves or a new barrel.

Both Obtainium and OC American Whiskey are aged MGP light whiskey. Old Carter finishes their products in toasted barrels of different char levels (varies by batch). So, while it’s the same whiskey, OC AW has a bit more depth of flavor (even though the OCs that I have are only 13 years old, versus the 15 year Obtainium that I have).

Bull Run also uses aged MGP light whiskey and finishes them in various barrels. I need to get my hands on some of that.

Sticking with rye tonight for my 3PD, this bottle is on par with the Old Carter batch 9 and Kentucky Owl batch 4, and is a third of the price.

Oh and yeah I just killed the bottle

I know it’s pretty strange, because I’ve had probably hundreds of whiskeys, but I’ve never tried Rare Breed Bourbon. Maybe I’ll pick that up soon.

good thing, We were running around a couple years ago looking for a legendary bottle that was supposed to have old juice in it.

Well, my staves have been ordered. I'll document the experience here and add pics. Should be fun.

Oddly enough, I found a granny's batch when looking for the tagalong batch today. I ended up getting both.
