OK gentleman you need to get to Martin’s ASAP and grab one of these if not more. I just left Martin Metairie, and this is one of the most delicious whiskeys that I have tasted. Make sure you grab the bourbon fest pick one. They may not have distributed them yet to all the Martin’s, but request it and they will get it in

The 18 is the best. 21 is a little bit better, but for the price point it's not worth it over the 18.

I typically agree with 18 better than 21, but I haven't had the 21 in 15+ years and I think I actually like the 15 the best from my last memory of 18. Never tried all of them against each other at the same time so thus Saturday will tell the tale.

I will. Its 8 guys including me and everyone will have their own ranking sheet. I plan to take some pictures but won't have time to post as I'm hosting and will be trying to drink/taste, move things along and not over cook the steak.

I've read that citrus does not go good with scotch as it can overpower the subtle flavors. However, I was thinking of having a sorbet or something to cleanse the palate between each scotch. Does anybody have experience with a palate cleanser between each dram of scotch? Maybe I'm over thinking this but just trying to put on a first rate tasting.

The palate cleanser is something in addition to the apps. I plan to have a couple of mild cheeses, sausage, prosciutto, apple slices, salted nuts and humus with a few different crackers.

I would simply go with some crackers or pretzels, maybe a saltine.

Some mild cheese should work as well.
