Local liquor store has Old Carter batch 16 17, and 18 for $220. I’m not really familiar, thoughts?

It is good juice. Is it 220 good? Depends on how much disposable income you have.

I’ve owned several bottles of Old Carter over the years. The only bottle that I feel like was worth it was the original LA Small Batch, it was an off profile MGP bourbon.

Most of their whiskey is double barreled MGP bourbon or rye, but not overly aged. Probably around 7-9 years old.

Don’t take this the wrong way, it’s good whiskey, but it’s probably $100-$125 whiskey, not $220.

I saw a bunch of bottles yesterday and was curious. The first Old Carter I ever tasted is still, to me, a top 5 sip of all time for me. I just don't know the differences enough to justify that cost.

Our local store has a good bit for $200. Pretty sure I had bought bottles of the earlier batches around the $150 mark. Like you said, they were all very good!

This Wednesday:
Michter's 10 Year Bourbon
Michter's 10 Year Rye
Shenk's Homestead Sour Mash Whiskey
Bomberger's Declaration Bourbon

I have never had any of the Michter's 10s, so excited about this one.

Hokus Pokus Alexandria. And that's just the Wednesday flight. I doubt they have any of those bottles for sale.
