Yeah it’s wild.

I was talking to a buddy the other day about EHT, I don’t see how/why EHT Single Barrel is worth 2.5x EHT Small Batch. It’s the same bourbon, proof and all, except one is a single barrel and the other is a small batch

ETA: would consider EHT Small Batch on secondary, wouldn’t consider Single Barrel for the prices that it’s going for.

Yea. If you can pay for your hobby, with your hobby, seems pretty legit.

I personally like drinking it all. It’s all about finding what I want to keep in the cabinet at all times.

Yeah, I get that, but I would never buy a bottle that I don’t plan on drinking.

Yea my cabinet will be full at the end of the month. So I’ll be picky on what I buy. Going to be some fallen soldiers coming soon!

Results from the last blind tasting round of Barrel Proofs. Kind of cool that they're also in the order of price, but starting with the cheapest.

So I'll be in Houston Thursday through Sunday. Plan on doing some hunting Thursday and maybe Friday. Any recommendations on what I should keep my eyes open for as far as great bottles that are hard to come by here in Louisiana?

I was able to track down the first Pinhook Vertical Series (4 year from 2019) today. #founditatRouses

Anyone else gonna try to do the whole set? In a perfect world, I'll drink a good bit of each bottle as I get it then save some to compare to all the others at the end. Is that crazy?

Smoke Wagon (small batch and uncut unfiltered)

Some bourbons that I’ve heard good things about but haven’t tried yet:

Remus Repeal Reserve
Bardstown Discovery series

ETA: none of those are distributed in Louisiana

How many of you bribe, uh, tip liquor store employees? There is a shop here that is always rumored to have Taylor but never produces for me. Last week when picking up some other items I slipped the same employee that always shoots me down my business card with a $20 clipped to it. He called me today:

When picking it up he also said just let him know if Im ever looking for anything specific. I considered the $20 introductory, to grease the wheels, and not a per bottle tip. Why haven’t I done this before?

First bourbon pour after a few ranch waters while hanging new outdoor fans.

I have the JD Rye and the Single Barrel Select. They are very good. The nose on the Single Barrel Select is straight banana.

I’ve killed my first small batch and this is the second round . Nursing the UCUF. That straight bourbon is meh but the other 2 are superb

Wanted to take one last sip, starting a new infinity bottle w/ 107. UCUF is the next layer as as prob have a sipping ounce left before adding it.
