1PD and first pour ever. I will give my take later.

Here’s my short review. Medium to thin mouthfeel. Classic vanilla caramel on the palate a hint of dark fruit. I’ll give a 6.5 on the t8ke scale. I generally like high proof bourbons if it was higher I would give it a higher ranking. This one doesn’t have that wheat funk that a lot of wheated bourbons can have. It’s good, will I buy it again? At $80 a bottle I have better options at that price. But overall it is a good pour.

Man down, this one is deserving of a Viking funeral. He shall be missed.

My cousin called me over the weekend, to shoot the breeze. Then tells me he went to a party at his neighbors house for a celebration. The guy closed some kind of HUGE deal and his commission was enormous. The guy pulled out a bottle of Louis XIII cognac, and everyone got a taster. Said it was the smoothest booze he had ever tasted. Has anyone here ever had the pleasure of sapling it?

I’m tip toeing into the brown town. On a scale of gay, is putting a big ice cube in your pour, crossing swords during a threeway gay or getting filled up like a Chinese finger cuff gay?

It 100% takes away from the experience, IMO. Not only does it water the spirit down, it also masks the flavor because the “cold” sensation is somewhat overpowering.

Im picking up more homosexual vibes from this than I am from using a big ice cube.
But as far as using a big cube, or any ice for that matter goes, I say it’s all in personal preference. As EC said, it definitely affects taste, but not always for the worse in my opinion. I enjoy ice most of the time, but I generally try my pours neat before adding any ice.

Ice is fine and won’t make you any gayer than you already are.

The SRW and 1856 have rickhouse versions that are both great. I’ve seen mixed reviews on the BiB bottles.
