Ran this blind a little while ago. Kluke had the best palate and nose. Barrell and Old Carter were close. OC was clearly better on the nose but Barrell on the palate. I gave the slight edge to Barrell.

I'd have to strongly disagree on Barrell over OC, but to each their own.

Did you taste them blind? And which batches if so?

I currently have batch 10. I have not blind tasted them, but I would recognize that OC from a mile a way. I don't know it just tastes better each time I crack open the bottle.

Interesting results, I’ll have to keep my eye open for that new batch of K Luke. I have batch 2 of the rye and I feel like it’s a bit underwhelming and sharpe, I have similar thoughts about the toasted bourbon. My favorite from them are the barrel strength bourbon batches.

Evening gents. Fresh crack.

quote:not sure how often you pass through Thibodaux, but there were about 6-7 bottles of the 3rd batch rye at bayouside earlier today. I grabbed the last one of these though.

Batch 3 is significantly different. He added Kentucky to the blend. I liked batch 1 a little more than batch 2, but this one beats both imo.
Re: OC, I blinded batch 9. My experience with their batches of bourbon has been up and down. None have been bad, but they don't always reach the level of the price point. Some are outstanding. Assuming the rye is similar, that's important context to keep in mind.
