Nice! That's supposed to be really good. I haven't seen it locally. I'll be interested in hearing your impressions.

I got an email today from Rouse’s saying I was selected to have the opportunity to buy a bottle of the Yamazaki 12yr 100th Anniversary bottle for $176. I have no interest in it and really not familiar with the whisky or its value at that price. If anyone is interested in it let me know and if you’re close to where I live, I don’t mind purchasing it and you just pay me back. Not sure if this is anything special or not as I’ve never gotten an email from rouses before with an offer. Figured being part of their bourbon society I’d get an offer at some point for bourbon and not a Japanese whisky. Oh well.

Yeah, I picked it up online. Didn’t see it in market yet. The wild Turkey (caramel, vanilla, savory note) definitely shines through on the nose and palate, but there is definitely a bit of berry fruit there that I don’t get on 100% Turkey, I don’t get it off of that mystery mashbill either, so it must be from the BBC distillate.

I need to get one of those. Will probably just order from the website.

The wheated bourbon from them is impressive and does have a good bit of fruit. There's a lot of potential when that stuff is the "cheap" part of the blend.

How do you like the Heaven Hill BIB? I just picked up a bottle from Calandro's. Haven't opened it yet.

FPD for the money, one of my favorites

FPD OF 1897, Yeah that RR hits on all the classic bourbon notes for sure.
