I think from what I have read the 20 is like the stepchild of the 3. People love the 15 for the proof and bang for the buck...and others love the 23 because its the oldest of the batch and tasty.

Two thumbs up for Elmer t lee. Just had my first glass of it tonight. Also I like the AE rye...I'm not a huge rye drinker but I like it. I haven't had many ryes....

What does social charge for the shot of 23? Someone told me they have a direct connect to the pappys.

Bought a bottle of Speyburn for $20. Highland single malt for $20? Worth a try.

Its smooth, a little too sweet and citrusy for my taste. Not much peat or smokiness to it.

But for $20 not bad.

I'm embarrassed to say but I'm drinking Jim beam devils cut. Not bad for $12, especially to drink while fishing on the pier.

Superior Seafood stepped up their whiskey selection big time over the last few weeks...

Had the EH Taylor barrel strength ($11) and a Rowan's Creek ($7) tonight...both fairly priced IMO

They're doing flights too (three 1/2 oz pours from each level for same price as a single). I think single pours are still better, but it's still an option.

Decent high end stuff...Stagg is cut off in the pic above (my bad), but listed at $13

ETA: First time I've had the Taylor barrel proof....was spicy, but pretty delicious...

I was looking at bourbon at whole foods yesterday (I was already there). My jaw hit the floor when I saw the price of one bottle. Smooth Ambler Yearling: a 375 ml bottle of 1 year 7 month old bourbon for $69. Is there something special about it that I don't know?

I feel the same about the prices of things like Hudson Baby Bourbon. I don't understand the appeal for these young bourbons. Just because they don't make a lot of it and it's a novelty doesn't mean it's worth that kind of $$. Just like all the moonshine craze, there's a reason our forefathers started aging in barrels. That juice needs some time to mature!

Agreed. I've had the Hudson at a bar and I didn't care for it at all. I haven't even been tempted to buy any moonshine. I've been given 2 different moonshines as gifts and I couldn't finish either of them. I gave them to a friend and he drank them with sprite.

To those who were waiting on the EH Taylor BP I saw, it was not there today. They only had rye, small batch, and single barrel left. Sorry

Whole Foods actually has really good prices on everything I've looked at or bought there. Elmer is 25.99, Wild Turkey Rare Breed is 34.99 and ER10 is 24.99

I'd like to try the Rye but at $5 more than Handy...I'm taking Handy all day every day.
