The new BX doesn't have near the activity as the old one. The bottles I've gotten recently have been through connections made on the old board.

Is the new BX considered to be the Bourbon Porn page on FB?

I've been lurking around here for a while; I just love reading about bourbon (how it's made, special releases, and people's opinions). Does anyone have a favorite place to find information? I was really enjoying the craziness of the old BX, but Here are my favorites:

Got these two today. The one on the right is a Japan only Four Roses - will crack it open soon.

Boy talk about shitty saints game. It was painful to watch even with the bourbon I was drinking.

I'm interested to hear how that 4 roses sufferers from US 4r. Is it small batch?

Welcome aboard Rduple2...westbanker I see

Where does the 4roses platinum even place in their lineup? Is it supposed to be better than the standard SmB and SB available here?

It's only 86 proof. Information is scarce about it. It is a small batch, not single barrel and retails for a little over $100 in Japan. I could find out more from the bottle itself, but most of it written in Japanese.

I traded a THH for the Super Premium and got the 125th from Devine in Ruston. They also have the Jefferson's Chef Collaboration but one new bottle was enough for me.

That's what I was thinking.. Why do international bottles have the higher proofs? I would love to try a barrel proof blantons but it's only shipped internationally.
