I grabbed a bottle of the 1792 PF from Martin's the other day. I was not all that impressed on my first pour. Hopefully the second will be better.

These were my thoughts as well. 2nd was better and I won't complain at the 39.99 tag. Honestly everything 1792 has done beyond their ridgemont reserve 8 year age statement has been disappointing IMO.
2PD: Michter's toasted

I was definitely disappointed with Sweet Wheat...it falls flat.

How's the Michter's Toasted? I've liked just about all of their stuff, aside from the Sour Mash. The only place I've seen it is at Dorignaq's and I won't touch it at $100.

I feel like everyone who has had the toasted enjoys it, but yes the $100 price tag is the reason Dorignacs still has about 20 on the shelf.

Nor should you. That's ridiculous. It's really good but I doubt I'd go above $60 for it. Luckily total wine has had a ton down here in Florida.
3PD: Saz 18. Wife enjoys the good stuff

Cure on Freret has a good selection. BTAC, Parkers Heritage, EC age stated, younger pappiezz, etc.

That's what it thought. I like the look of Cure on freret in the pics I saw too. Pretty swank looking. So I may hit up cure and Avenue pub. Then elios because I've never shopped there.

FPD: Death by Coconut
Probably couldn't drink a lot of these in one sitting but it is interesting.

Yeah, I should have suggested Cure over Avenue Pub. Other than the large selection at AP, everything else about that place sucks.

These may be the last EC12's I ever buy. I hope the new 8-12 yr version is just as good. This is my favorite bourbon for an Old Fashioned.

I absolutely hated the 1792 small batch neat.
Given a little ice, it is pretty nice.
